Unpublishing in a week

Next weekend my books will all be pulled from sale from Amazon.

This has come from the censorship of my books and other aspects. I started writing as a way of escape and somewhere along the way - I learnt that I loved it!

The taxation system of being an indie writer is rather complicated. Not only do i need to file in the UK but also a return in the US. This is all too confusing for me and so after the weekend I plan to re publish for free elsewhere. This was never about the money for me, I wanted to list my books for free on amazon when I first started but I was not allowed.

The fact that my books will be free does not lower the value of them in any way. This also means it may be available to even more people.

Thank you so much for your continuing support. I will keep you updated.

M.

Susie What a travesty .Your writing is superb !! and I for one feel you should get something back for all the hard work Mercy. Please see if you can find assistance with the tax situation but in the meantime please please keep us updated on where your work is published .I'd hate to miss any of your work xx

Edward Wolfe I'd use royalties to pay someone else to deal with it.

Mercy Cortez Thank you so much Susie, unfortunately it isn't just the tax, Messy and Shattered is no longer allowed to be on sale by Amazon due to the content being too explicit (which I find a load of rubbish) and so it would not be on sale there anyway. I have published them for free here on Goodreads instead and this where they will stay.

Frankly I just don't have the time to deal with it Edward; I like to keep my writing private and therefore would not want to hire anyone.

Explicit !!! It's tame compared to a great many books published on there.
All I can say then is thank you for the pleasure your books give others and please please do keep writing xxx
