Experimental Heart
Experimental Heart is an Urban Science Fantasy series set in a near future world called Lumaraeon. Once nearly destroyed by war it is now trying desperately to hold onto old customs and beliefs in gods while on the brink of another war that could once again tear the land asunder. This series is set in the point of view of a human war experiment fugitive named Eira who, after facing death, is saved by an unlikely rescuer, a dragon shapeshifter. The two team up, along with her fellow comrades, to fight against the tyrannical ruler that created her and the major threat in the impending war. The books not only focus around Eira’s attempt at true freedom but her trials as an individual attempting to find her place in a world she doesn’t believe she belongs in.
About this author
Shannon Pemrick was born in 1991 in a small city in the Southwestern corner of New Hampshire where she was raised with her younger sister. Thanks to her limitless imagination, she spent most of her days daydreaming about the impossible in hopes it could one day be possible. This imagination sparked a love of the arts that eventually lead her down the road to writing where she discovered her first book idea.
Shannon currently lives in her home town with her Fiancée, three cats, and species confused dog. Experimental Heart: Pieces is her first published book and the first in the Experimental Heart series.
