I've no problem at all with for-hire services for author. In fact, I see no problem with hiring a PR or marketing firm to help with a self-published book. But certainly not the one that cold-called me moments ago.
When Google's auto suggest looks like this, I'm probably going to take a pass.
Don't get caught up in their pitch and let them waste your time. Or money!
