For the first Monday wanted books, three books I really want to read and I haven’t read them yet. I have them on my ‘to-read list’ and I have them saved in my Nook, but I want them as a paperback too.
“What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic’s wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic’s highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country’s most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.”
Legend is a book that captured my attention long time ago, but I’ve been busy reading other things. I’m pretty sure many people have read it and I’m one of those ones that haven’t because laziness. Anyway, I want it. Even if I read it on my Nook first.
“When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade-a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.”
I’m not gonna lie. This book has been in my mind for several months and I haven’t been able to read it! Even though, I want it (and I must) read it soon. I’ve read many reviews about this book (no spoiler) and most of them agree is a good book. I want to have my own opinion about it, so I decided this book will be the next one on my list.
“Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander’s face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate… until she sees Ky Markham’s face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.”
Lets face it. I want this book cause its cover is pretty. Besides the cover, I want to read it cause I want to see the functionality of that society. Even though, I think I’m not so into love triangles as much as many others. I most interested in the relationship of the main character and the society. How he/she handles her future and the decisions he/she makes for his/her self. I know, is another dystopian story, but I’m so into them as I’m into science fiction.
