Just because I didn’t love you in the way that you wanted to be loved doesn’t mean that I deceived you. Or that everything I have ever said before was a lie. It just means that my love wasn’t enough for you. That my love was not able to fill the void in your heart. But that doesn’t mean that my love isn’t good enough. Or that I will end up not only alone, but lonely as well. It just means that you have to look harder. That you have to place your trust in someone new. And I know that terrifies you. I know that thinking about starting all over again makes you tired, and it makes heart more vulnerable, but this is something that you have to do. This is something that is required if you want to end up with a love that is never-ending. It might take time, but that’s something that you should have realized long ago. Just because I cannot love you in the way that you want doesn’t mean that no one else can. So stop saying that I’ve ruined love for you. Or that I have soiled the entire idea of being able to open up. No one can ruin love for you. You are the one who makes the final decision on whether or not this is all worth the struggle.
