Thanks! You know, as a true pantser, I have almost nothing prepared. *Snicker* A few bare bones notes in no cohesive order. Some ideas for group exercises to brainstorm... you know... improv at its best. LOL!
A writer that doesn't use any outlines or preplanning. Just a basic premise, then jumps in and writes. Can write sequential chapters or out of order, but it's all on the fly from head to computer/paper. All my characters, except the MC (and sometimes a few of them) are invented as a go including their backstories. All the research is done as I go. Everything is improvised as I write. I create it as I need it. I get my best, most shocking and impressive scenes like this. It's not for everyone, but I've been writing for almost 30 years and studying human before for as long. It helps.
Thanks for extending my vocabulary. By your definition, I surely am a pantser. -- Actually, I don't write my books; they write themselves once a sit down with a basic premise and a determination to start writing. I am just as curious about the end as any future reader might be. (Except, with a memoir, I, of course, know the outcome. But even there, I don't know ahead of time how and at what point I'll end it.)

I also wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
