How do you want to FEEL?

I talk a lot about intentions.

The truth is, our mind is constantly putting things out there – judgments, beliefs, fears, joys, etc. Many times it puts stuff out that we don’t actually need or want.

But here’s the thing…energy follows intention. Where I put my intention, is what my energy starts to move towards.

What this means, is that if I believe I’m going to have a hard day of work, that I’ll never get rest, that I’ll always be struggling…my energy moves to reinforce those things. While that’s slightly terrifying (yikes!) the good news is that the opposite is true. If I believe I am going to feel successful during my day, that I will feel refreshed, and I am a do-er of great things…my energy follows!

Setting an intention isn’t creating a “to-do” list either. It’s bigger than that. So, yes, I need to be more conscious about what I’m looking at and doing – but more importantly, I need to set an intention around how I want to feel.

Some examples:

“I choose to wake up feeling refreshed and positive.”

“I choose to feel joyful with my partner.”

“I choose to get where I’m going in a relaxed and easy way.”

“I choose to feel at peace with my friends.”

“I choose to feel grateful for my family.”

Now, you can set intentions on a daily basis. In fact, that’s a super powerful practice that I highly recommend and have incorporated into my year-long Evolve program.

You can also create a plan to be intentional about large blocks of time. For example, this past Summer I set the intention that I wanted to “feel exhilarated” this Fall and Winter. Since that time, I have had numerous life changes, expanded and created multiple programs, and loved many, many friends. My energy went towards my intention, and I have had an exhilarating second half of 2013.

Which brings me to 2014.

I’d like to invite you to check out a day-long, intention-creating, life-loving, wisdom-sharing workshop I offer in January. It’s called Creating Your Best Year Yet and we spend the day, doing, well, exactly that!

Hop over here to learn more and join us!

In the meantime, take 15 seconds and think about what you want to feel. Write your intention below!

With Love,

Carrie
