Happy Thanksgiving, Round 2, 18 and OLDER :)

Today is indeed the Day of Thanks in the US. Families are gathering, turkeys are cooking, football is blaring, children are wreaking havoc on many and I am sitting here writing to you. I’ve said it before, but it really has been too long. You deserve to hear this every day for all you give me.

You are amazing and wonderful! I look forward to “job,” to sharing my handsome heroes with you daily. I love that you indulge me, which allows me to shamelessly indulge myself. (I haven’t met an author yet who writes fiction that they wouldn’t enjoy reading.)

And, speaking of indulging…

On a day when, more often than not, there isn’t enough wine to make Uncle Gerald’s stories sound good for the millionth time or Aunt Susie’s “famous” casserole edible, on a day when we are bombarded by family that we haven’t seen in nearly a year, and some we wish we could go another year without seeing, on a day that usually has my feet are barking at the end of it and my kids sugared up till midnight, we all need that little escape, that tiny vacation at the end of it all. I look forward to that delicious dessert at the end of the day; it’s what makes some Thanksgivings bearable. I’m not talking about the tangible kind, per se, but more like a slice of a devilishly decadent hero getting the girl, or the girl getting the devilishly decadent hero, will work just fine.

Yes. You read that right. I got sneaky on you! But, then again, it’s a day of Thanks, which I’ve done, and Giving, which I’m doing now. Let me start by saying I ADORE this couple! He’s sexy, British – with the accent! – and he’s got a great sense of humor…on top of a bloody serious lust for his best mate’s older, curvy yet confident, sister. Yup.
