This delightful story is not chick-lit; it’s real lit, as in literary; one of the most well-written books I’ve read in recent years. If this very human story doesn’t leave your eyes as misty as the redwood forests of Northern California where it’s set, then you have no heart. And this is coming from a cynical guy.
