WELCOME TO BARB'S AUTHOR'S CORNER
When over seventy children from first grade through fifth are enjoying a presentation,  you don’t have to remind them to listen or pay attention even once within the hour.  That says something for the presenter.  Barb did a fantastic job at the North Platte Public Library.  She was discussing her book “Dust Covered Days of Dorie Archer”.   Children were asked to participate as they demonstrated corn husking, used a stick and wheel to play the game of runners, tasted chokecherry jam and tried some calisthenics from the 1930s.  Barb also uses many visuals to bring the 30’s in Nebraska to life for today’s children.Mitzi M.  Children's Librarian North Platte Public Library
