Little Ship of Fools by Charles Wilkins

My review of Charles Wilkins’ rousing new work of narrative nonfiction, Little Ship of Fools, was published in this week’s issue of Booklist by the American Library Association.

Well into his 60′s, the author had never once held an oar before joining an rowing expedition across the Atlantic from Africa to the Caribbean. If you’re looking for a real-life adventure, Wilkins’ sharp wit and determination shouldn’t be missed.
