I forget that this blog no longer pulls my posts from my
real blog, and I just realized I haven't done any kind of update here in a while. Here's a quick rundown of what's been going on:
I just returned from a cruise and writing workshop with fantasy author Lynn Flewelling. It was really amazing, and if you're interested in seeing pictures, I think you should be able to see them by clicking
here.
Regarding The Letter Z, two of my writer friends and I celebrated its release by teaming up to do some character interviews. Angelo was interviewed by Scarlett Parrish's character Piper
here, and Zach was interviewed by Julie Lynn Hayes' character Max
here.
I recently finished a short story called One More Soldier. This story was originally an idea by
Ethan Stone, but he graciously let me steal it and make it my own. Although this story is definitely about how love can change your life, I don't really think of it as a romance. I've submitted it to a publisher, but I'm honestly not sure at this point if anybody will want it. Just have to wait and see.
June 12th and 13th, I will be hosting a booth for Dreamspinner Press at the
Pride Festival in Des Moines with my fellow DSP author
Heidi Cullinan. If you're in the area, be sure to drop by and say hello! I'll also be at
Yaoi Con in San Francisco in October. I think there will be a total of ten DSP authors there. More info on that down the road.
Last but not least, I'm excited to say I now have an official blurb for Strawberries for Dessert!
When Jonathan Kechter agrees to a blind date with Cole Fenton, he expects nothing more than dinner and a one-night stand... but he gets more than he bargained for in Cole. Cole is arrogant, flamboyant, and definitely not Jon’s type. Still, when Cole suggests an arrangement of getting together for casual sex whenever they're both in town, Jon readily agrees.
Their arrangement may be casual, but Jonathan soon learns that when it comes to Cole Fenton, nothing is easy. Between Cole’s fear of intimacy and his wandering lifestyle, Jonathan wonders if their relationship may be doomed from the start—but the more Cole pushes him away, the more determined Jon is to make it work.
I'm really excited about this book. Strawberries for Dessert will be released by Dreamspinner Press sometime this summer (probably July). I'll let you know as soon as I have an official date.
Hope you're all enjoying a terrific summer!
