MY CURRENT DISRUPTIVE CHALLENGE

Societal Change. “I do see a world that’s going to be much more challenging for people to figure out what type of career they want.

“I don’t know if it means that all of us are going to pull a kumbaya and have a world of Star Trek and everybody does what they want to do and there’s enough to go around… Or if there’s going to be a big chunk of time that’s going to have major, major effects on us as a people.

“I feel like I’m somewhat protected from it because of my entrepreneurial spirit and the kind of work that I do — being among the creative class that Richard Florida has very smartly named — I still worry about the greater community.

“What jobs are we going to have? What is this going to look like. For all my rah-rah-rah on technology, I do wonder: What kind of society are we creating? I think the opportunity is massive to do great in it, but I also do grapple with what’s it going to look like in the short- to mid-term.”

Let's Disrupt This!

If there’s one crucial takeaway from the age of disruption, it’s that the opportunities are massive, but they may not be available to all. As a society, we all have a responsibility to address this. How will you address it? How will you disrupt things and spread the opportunities to all?
