Rick This is an odd book, one that I really wanted to like. I raced through it and appreciated the flashes of orginality, like lightning against a bleak landscape to cliche's, impossible, juvenile plot turns. The fasicinating original premise of a Grisham-like shadow power club, is completely corrupted by a decent into formulaic Occult nonsense. But it is a page turner, this author has potential. I am astonished at his editors and the number of readers who issued 4 and 5 stars. Goes goes to show that, like nicotine, something can grab you when you know it's not good for you.

Rick Sorry, Danny. Felt you can be the next Grisham and learn more by bluntness than adulation. I am a full prof. of political science, 61, and 50 years of serious reading experience. Don't mean to come across as snarky. Highest praise was that I couldn't "put the CD down", but was frustrated that such a spell-binder could have been edited and re-thought in places to make you the next Grisham SOON. All bets are off of course if you want to appeal only to the beach book, young un-discerning crowd. Waiting for the next one to see what happens. Rick fshiels@gmail.com

Greg Mccormick Danny, you're not Grishom, you're Danny Tobey. Thanks for not being Grishom. Thanks for an interesting story, especially the supernatural element (again, not Grishom) and for the time and energy it takes to write a book while being a career lawyer. In our house, we know a bit about writers, and certainly one of the hurdles is your editor and publisher. You need more promotion, which you certainly know and want. Hope you have a dynamite editor, someone on your side. I had no idea you had written another story until I arrived at this site. I look forward to reading it.

Take care,
Greg McCormick
