Informational Interviews are Essential and Challenging

Fortune Magazine and CNN.com contributor Anne Fisher (“Ask Annie”) discussed the challenges of informational interviews – and mentioned some suggestions in my new book, When Can You Start?: How to Ace the Interview and Win the Job – in her column today. The informational interview gets little attention in job-hunting guides, but it should be a standard tactic for job seekers. If anything, the fact that it is so often forgotten makes it more valuable to those who take the trouble to do something a little different.
