There was absolutely no way Steven was going to admit that his entire butt ached from the incision Cole had made. Steven locked that pain down tight like he’d done the previous times he’d been hurt. He’d had deeper, more numerous wounds before, but anytime a cut or bruise was on a part of his body that flexed with every step he took, it hurt worse....
