“Cyber-side Chats” : The Return of NYC’s Internet Week! (May 20 – 27)
Yesterday kicked off the first day of Internet Week 2013- New York’s technology and digital conference. Started in 2008 by David-Michel Davies and Neil Vogel (Webby Awards) and Katherine Oliver (former commissioner of the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment), the “cyber conference” is set to host 45,000 Internet guru’s from across the globe with 9,000 + visiting the headquarters at The Metropolitan Pavilion.

Head of Global Product Marketing at Twitter, Guy Yalif gave yesterday’s keynote talk titled, “Creativity in 140 Characters,” where he spoke on the ways that small businesses and companies use Twitter as an effective marketing and research tool at virtually no cost. Twitter’s 200 million active users pump out a billion tweets every two and a half days, making the social site one of the fastest growing platforms on the Internet today.
