Grammar

So I keep seeing comments about my grammar mistakes. I just wanted to get something clear. I am not a English major. I didn't go to college for writing. I'm a stay at home mom who had been writing as a hobby up until about a month ago. I know my grammar sucks. I'm currently working on it and learning as I go. I don't know all the rules and in's and out's of how to write a book. I'm self-published. I don't have an editing company going over my stuff. I'm only human. All I want to do is write the story that's swirling around in my head. Is it not possible to look past the mistakes and just enjoy the story? I know that's what I do when I read books and find mistakes. If the story is good and you like the way the author writes, then why not just focus on that? I will get better as I go and hopefully you can all forgive me for not being perfect.

Marinieves My humble suggestion is to find someone you completely trust to help you review the grammar issues that you're supposedly having. Your book is on queue for me to read. I don't feel compelled to criticize other people so I can't give my opinion because I have not read it yet..

Second, if people don't like it ... Well they don't have to read it.

I wish you the best. As soon as I read it .., I will post my review.

I'm just a person in the sea of all, but I read like 10 or more books weekly ... So that should be enough for me to have an opinion soon.

Andria Thank you! A friend of mine has helped me with some stuff. I changed a lot of it in Sebastian's book, but I have yet to go back and fix Henry's book. I just get irritated because seriously, who reads a book for the grammar? I know I don't and I read a lot of books. Not as many as you, lol. I could do about 2-3 a week but if the story is good and you like the characters and writing then who cares if there are some mistakes in it. At least that's my opinion...

Denise I agree I didn't mind , of course my grammer sucks as well .. Loved the first two books can not wait for the third ...

Tiffany Fisher Loved the book cant wait for Quinn's story

Christine Panaro I see that comment every now and then and I didn't notice really glaring and terrible spelling and grammar mistakes. Believe even with books that are not self published there still mistakes.

Angela Smith I don't have a problem with the grammar. A lot of well known authors have mistakes on their books. To me it's all about the stories and they are awesome. I have read all 3 Beck brothers in three days. You are awesome and can't wait until Christians book comes out. Thank you for these great reads. Looking forward to more!!!
