Things you can do as a writer when your computer runs out of power

Make plot outlines on paper since outlines are usually short enough that a computer isn’t necessary
Think about how best to phrase things in your story once you get your computer back
Think of a new idea
Ask people questions about their lives, your ears tuned for little details to put in your stories
Pretend to be one of your characters
