Thomas Paprocki, the Illinois Bishop who has most actively pitted his personal faith convictions against the shared public policy of his supposedly church-separated state, is using the date of tomorrow's planned senate vote on the Illinois marriage bill to position his cause as the "martyred" one. This before he comes right out and says that Catholics who disagree with him (i.e. the majority of Americans Catholics) are both against the church and harming society.
