Progress Report

As some of you may or may not know, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on Dec 6, 2012. I had a bilateral mastectomy on Dec 14, 2012, which was followed by the removal of my left side lymph nodes on Jan 8, 2013.

I'm recovering now, and the prognosis looks good. The Cancer had only spread to one poor little lymph node, and all my scan have been clear. So, chemo therapy should start soon and then in a few months everything should be back to normal.

I've had the unbelievable support of my mom and many friends during this time including my very best friend, Lisa who lives far, far away but was there constantly anyway.

What have I been doing to keep myself busy during this bizarre time? Well, writing, of course. "The Love Laws" should be published sometime in February and I hope everyone enjoys it. It's taken me forever to finish, but I'm proud of it. Jamie is another shrew, but hopefully more likeable than Serena.

Emma Lee I am so sorry to hear that you have breast cancer Tamara, its a horrible thing and I am thankful it seems to have been caught early and that you have a great support network.

I read Hot Property after downloading it for free and I love the way you write. Since then I have read Open House (wrong order I know, but Im generally a little backwards ;-P lol) and I finished Lost and Found just minutes ago. It was definitely my favorite and I immediately went looking for Love Laws. I am glad that you decided to finish it and I look forward to reading it.

Wishing you all the best in your recovery and I hope you continue writing. Thank you for thoroughly entertaining me. Emma xx

Tamara Larson Oh Emma. So sorry I'm responding about a year too late but I just read your comment. I had no idea that I even had an Author Page on Good Reads until last month.

Just wanted to say thanks so much for your kind words. It makes me incredibly happy to know that there are people like you out there who enjoy my work. I've been struggling with my writing a lot since getting sick, but comments like yours make me want to keep at it. Hopefully I can produce something new soon. Thanks for reminding me why I do this. TL.
