Eileen Donan castle is my favourite place on the planet. The Ardnamurchan penninsular is remote and beautiful
Huge thank you Diana!!! I've wanted to visit Scotland for at least a decade, especially since I first read Outlander. I was hoping to do it this year, a way to overshadow my 50th birthday. But my divorce has not happened yet so I will be waiting most likely another year. But that has been my second dilemma, where and what to see. Now, can you also recommend a place to meet a Scot for the second half of my birthday present??
I loved Scotland and found it to be so friendly. I am handicapped and on a motorized cart and you would be surprised how well you can travel there. Glasgow and Edinburgh have special cabs. At Edinburgh Castle, they have a special van to take you to the top. Many castles have small elevators they let you use to get to the second floor. They do anything to make you happy. We went to many places in the "Outlander" and had a trip of a lifetime.
