What's left of Spike:



See that tiny little ball slightly off center to the right? I believe that is the core of Spike—what's left of the hard snowball I made to get her going. I think today it will slowly slip into the last pile of snow. I'll look again this afternoon.

On the South side of the house, the snow has receded several feet back. And here, under the rose bush, I found this:
