The Map

After my grandfather’s death, a package arrived. Inside was a map of Oak Island, Nova Scotia, yellowed and cracked with age and signed ‘Captain William Kidd 1699′. An “X” marked the Money Pit. Faded arrows led to another “X” on the island’s far side. A scribbled note read ‘Alan! They’re digging in the wrong place!
