What Would You Do?

One of the reasons I write fiction is to examine my fears, explore those places I hope to never visit. I do this throughout my upcoming mosaic novel, 25 Perfect Days. This dystopian collection of interlinked stories chronicles the slide into a hellish future of food shortages, contaminated water, sweeping incarceration, an ultra-radical religion, and the extreme measures taken to reduce the population. The first short story, “Five Minutes Alone” takes a close look at a new law and how it affects one family. A father is forced to make a difficult decision, one I’ve given much thought to, both before and after having my daughter.

After reading (or listening) to this short story, I would love if you could take a minute and fill out the short survey found at toward the end of the PDF. If I get enough responses, I’ll put together a post with all the results (names kept confidential.)

As a little incentive to those who answer the question, your name will be entered into the drawing and you’ll have a chance of winning one of the two $50 cash prizes or one of the five signed advance copies of 25 Perfect Days. The ARCs don’t look like they’ll be arriving in time for Christmas, but the cash prizes will. The cut off for the contest will be midnight 12/21/12 so be sure to get it in before then.

For those of you who’d rather not spend time on that time-suck, feel free to email me your answers at mark@marktullius.com

Thanks for the help. Hope you enjoy the story.
