I haven't had a chance to blog as often as I normally like. Mostly I've been deep into a work-in-progress, and since I just turned the corner at the halfway mark, I thought I'd post a few words about my experience. First drafts are a shaky time for me because I don't know if the new book is going to sink or swim. I have a number of trunk novels that will never see print for one reason or the other. Even at this point in the game, I can still write a book I'm not satisfied with, so I'll scrap it. Hopefully, the jinx won't taint this one. Talking about it also helps to keep the jinx at bay, so there's no problem there. One thing I find that helps is if you like the protagonist, and I really do in this new book. But that's all I can talk about since I haven't told the entire story yet. So, it's onward and upward...

Michele bookloverforever good luck with the writing process. I know it is hard work. I've tried writing several times as an adult..not too successful. Just too many distractions in my house what with one member with crippled hands, stage 4 kidney disease and another with dementia, badly weakened from a pelvic and hip fracture. palsy from prior alcohol abuse. what little time I have to myself these days, I read.
