Huzzah!

I’ve been nominated for the Governor General’s Literary Award!

For the non-Canadians among you, that’s a Canadian award. The Governor General is the Queen’s representative in the Canadian government, a ceremonial and Constitutional position. Here’s the Wikipedia article, which explains the office in more depth than I’m prepared to.

Of course, my husband and I had a good deal of fun this morning imagining what would happen if I won. I’m still pretty new at being Canadian. I assume one dresses up...

Beth Wonderful. I just finished your book last weekend and still need to write my review but it was great. You deserve all the honors for your work. Please hurry with the next book and be sure to let me know when it might be released The war awaits!

Kris Congratulations!! I *really* enjoyed Seraphina! I found it to be a refreshing 'twist' on the usual human/dragon interaction, and I was so thankful that the romance was NOT forced, or played "cutesy". And the world seemed very real. So, I think you totally deserve the nomination, and hope you win! (As long as winning doesn't delay book 2! ;-)
