Inside the Author’s Mind of @DavidCCassidy
A Canadian author raised by wolves? When I read David’s bio, I knew I wanted to learn more. He’s a most interesting man as you will find out.
Aside from being an author, he’s also an accomplished photographer, and I’ve included one of his beautiful pictures below.

Inside David C. Cassidy’s Mind
What is your idea of perfect happiness? Creating art in words and photographs. It doesn’t get better than that.
What turns you on creatively? It’s a feeling. I couldn’t begin to describe it. In writing, it’s when I’ve hit on something magical to me. In photography, it’s when I snap that shutter and know I’ve caught something special. It’s a real high.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse? I’m not sure … I’m not sure.
What quality do you most admire in people? Honesty.
What is your greatest regret? That my mother never lived to see my first book. Nothing else comes close.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? My natural instinct of pessimism. The glass isn’t even half-empty, it’s bone dry. You’re probably not going to print this, are you? I knew it.
[Eden] David, I never censor my guests, especially not the pessimistic ones. 
What is your greatest fear? Running out of time—death. I can only hope that in the next life, I get to do all the things I want to do.
Which living person do you most admire? God rest his soul—Steve Jobs. He changed everything. Certainly he had his critics, but here was a man who truly had vision.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Stand-up comedy.
If you could choose what to come back as, what would it be? I’ll take some licence here, and assume we live in a Star Trek universe. I’d be Jean-Luc Picard.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? Placing my book, Velvet Rain, in the hands of my father on his birthday. I’ll never trump that.
What is the trait you most deplore in others? Dishonesty. If someone can’t be straight up with you, what’s the point.
What is your greatest extravagance? Camera gear. The bigger the Canon, the lighter the wallet.
What is one thing you want to do before you die? I want to see our beautiful planet from orbit.
What is your favorite music (genre/artist/album/song)? Mozart is king, but Vivaldi ROCKS. I love jazz—the good stuff (Kenny G is not the good stuff.) Classic rock soothes my soul.
What are some of your favorite curse words? Sonofabitch! I have no fucking clue, goddammit.
What is your motto? “Keep your foot on the gas and your eye on the road—you’ll get there.”
