What happens if you're naughty?

Today's six sentences come from A Firm Husband .  I'm working on the sequel right now, but I gave myself a headache trying to find six sentences from my WIP that tied together nicely, so the following excerpt comes from the chapter Mattie and Henry had in A Firm Husband .

In the following scene, Henry has just asked Mattie what happens if she doesn't apologize to Clara. 


“I – I get a spanking,” she whispered, looking down.

Henry reached forward, lifting her chin up.  “That’s right, Matilda Riley.  You get a spanking on your bare bottom, a very long spanking.”  He stepped forward, and Mattie felt even more vulnerable.  “Is your bottom sore?"


The working title for the sequel to A Firm Husband is A Strict Husband and it's Mattie and Henry's story, though the characters from the first book will make a brief appearance:)
