Running Full Speed

This weekend I set aside work for a bit so we could catch up with another family friend who’s been burning the candle at both ends. Cheyann Reagan writes, directs, and stars in a family-friendly web series she’s created on a shoestring budget with the help of family, friends and fans.

Although I’m generally not a sitcom-type of guy and prefer my entertainment a bit darker, I think it is awesome that she’s doing this. With the majority of choices filled with sex, violence and adult language, it’s nice to have an alternative, especially for the kids.

The series, Off and Running, is set in the LA suburb of Whittier, and follows Leia, a bright-eyed young woman in search of her FOREVER JOB. With friends Christian and Mars by her side, the three amigos embark on a series of crazy yet amazing adventures that end with valuable lessons about friends, family and adulthood.

Cheyann hopes to show people that through hard work, determination and the help of others, anything is possible. She’s making her dreams come true and hopes to inspire others to do the same.

I know she’s going to be a success. With her vision and work ethic, it’s just a matter of time. I’ve read some of the edgier stuff she has in store for us and I can’t wait until she has the opportunity to put it out there. Whether it’s sci-fi, comedy, or romance, she’ll put together a piece that will affect others.

Off and Running’s official trailer came out last night. Check it out and like their webpage if you’d like to support something positive.
