The story of the Earth in about two minutes. 

I suppose it’s human nature to stretch out current events at the expense of historical ones (as I’m sure you know, if you really did squeeze the history of the Earth into two minutes humans would show up at somewhere around 1:59:57).

Also, we don’t really know how much of an impact current events are going to have. If 2013 sees a worldwide outbreak of West Nile virus, killing 100 million people, the events of September 11 are going to seem pretty small in comparison. 

Despite my nitpicking, I do like this video. It neatly combines my history nerdiness with my science nerdiness!
