Wow, that's confusing! LOL. I'll look forward to getting them all in one book vs. just getting them one at a time in e-book form. Good things are worth waiting for...most especially the next in the Outlander series! Can't wait for that one!

Please release your next Novel...I am tired of waiting. I think authors who choose to write series have an obligation to their fans to keep them flowing. The short stories can come later. I love these books, in fact they are my favorite books, and hope to live long enough to read them all.
I agree with Sara, Lets get on with it already and release the next Outlander. Not getting any younger.
Dear Sara and Marym--The book can't very well be released until I finish writing it, which I'm in the process of doing. It'll be out--as I say with tiresome regularity in every place I post--in the fall of 2013. A) I won't be finished writing it 'til April or May, and B) Random House likes to release my books in Sept./Octberish. QED.
I'm not taking time from the book to write short pieces--they were all already written, over the course of the last few years, for various anthologies. I'm re-publishing them now for the benefit of folk who didn't know about them, don't want to buy an anthology for the sake of one story, and/or would like something to read while waiting for MOBY to be finished.
They're big, complex books, and they take some time to write.

I'd rather wait and have you be true to the story rather than you pump something out to make your publisher happy....

Well, I never have. No reason to start now!

I apologize for the impatience. I understand the books take a long time to write. This series is spectacular (I've read all of them twice) and I'm anxious for the next book. I just want to live long enough to see it through to the end.

Me, too!

I actually said "yes!" after reading Sara's comment. I so loved the whole series. I am so happy to hear you will release the next one. I enjoyed getting my housework or walking while listening to your wonderful books from audible. So now I can listen again starting next spring and be ready for the new one come fall!
