Does it matter?
I’m a blogger, writer, and speaker. My words are on pages, blogs, and carried in the air. And I wonder if they matter. I wonder if the days I hold my heart out to the wind, if it will be ripped to shreds. I wonder if my love for God will make a difference for someone else—for the lost sheep who are wandering cold and alone, or for those who are in God’s fold, yet feel so isolated.
Can we love them through a God who loves endlessly? Can what we offer be used? Can our little flames be seen through God’s lens to shine on someone else?
Can who we are, be what is needed? Did a creator God, create us for fellowship with Him and fellowship for others?
Yes!
Who you are, and what you do, makes a difference!
“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]” (Ephesians 2:10 Amplified Bible).
“Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16 Amplified Bible).
“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:1-6 English Standard Version).
