மூன்று அமெரிக்க எழுத்தாளர்களின் பேச்சு- சௌந்தர்ராஜன்

Dear Jeyamohan Sir,

I wish I could have joined you on the entire book signing tour with you. They were held in 10 different cities from east to west and midland cities.  I could join you the only one held in Barnes and Noble , Dallas on Oct 22, 2025. Watched all other events over the recordings done by Vishnupuram Literary Circle’s friends.

Every event was impressive and they had their unique quality and representation. On each event, second generation kids read the Stories of The True book and shared their perceptions and views very clearly and sharply. In their 3 minutes talk, they moved the listeners to buy the book.  I was impressed with these published authors’ take on your (Tamil) stories.  These authors were there at Colleton Library , Walterboro, SC on Oct 27, 2025, arranged by Jegadeesh Kumar.

Upon his retirement in 2017,  Author Stephen Chadwick discovered the joy of writing. He holds the novel, Walking With Bow and Heart to his credit along with twenty short stories, twenty five poems. He calls out loudly that you are a writer of culture and philosophy. He acknowledged that your descriptions on people and location were very well written. The stories were recreation as well as education.

While listening to each of the authors participate in this event, I understood PK Potts has been their main encouragement for their writing. She is the children’s author of : Army the Armadillo, If the Tree Could Talk, The Monsters of Feathernight Forest,and the Boy who Talked to Trees. When she talked, she was happily mentioning that he read the whole book of A Fine Thread And Other Stories. She spoke well of Mountains Dialogue and Oceans Nearby.

While choosing the stories for the collection, Jegadeesh and I were very optimistic that Bubbles will attract any woman across the culture and language. It was very evident , while the author of Eating Pig Feet in the DARK, Geraldine E Jenkins,  jokingly said how her boys won’t listen like all of you, pointing to the men in the room. The meeting room was full of laughter. She was so happy to see you as an accomplished author and was readily there to listen to your advocacy on writing.

We are very happy that this 2025 US trip was very productive and fun !
