Review: Phillips, Craig & Dean’s Dan Dean “More”

Phillips, Craig & Dean member Dan Dean returns to the inspirational music scene with a brand new solo album. “More” releases tomorrow, and it’s filled with hope and humbling lyrics directed toward worshiping God in any season of life. Song messages range from being in awe at the beauty of God’s handiwork in nature to surrendering one’s life to Him. The entire album has a worship setting feel with reverence to God’s love and an emphasis on family.

Many of the songs feature talented guest singers like Phillips, Craig and Dean, The Isaacs, Emma Rose Williamson, Christine Dente, Emily Ann Roberts, and more. Some are stars in country and the bluegrass genres. Standout tracks in “More” are “Traveling Light,” “Glimpses of Glory,” Where Amazing Happens,” “Walk on Water,” “Mother of Boys,” and “Come Out of the Graveyard” due to their upbeat melodies and emotional lyrics.

The following songs are also a part of the tracklist:

“Home”

“Never Gets Old”

“He Won’t Give Up Easy”

“I Was in the Room”

The official press release had this to say about the new project:

“More is hallmarked by collaborations with a who’s who of genre-spanning talents, including country songstress Emily Ann Roberts; bluegrass legends The Isaacs; and Dean’s bandmates Randy Phillips and Shawn Craig, who bring their signature Phillips, Craig & Dean harmonies to album opener “Traveling Light.” … It sets the tone for a project that celebrates life, love and family under the gaze of grace.

Additional highlights of More include “Glimpses of Glory,” a tribute to God’s handiwork in Creation featuring The Isaacs; the Christine Dente-backed “Mother of Boys,” a deeply personal track Dean co-penned in homage to his mother; “Home,” an ode to the joy imbued in life’s simple moments written by and showcasing Dean’s son Devin; and the project’s title-cut spotlighting Emily Ann Roberts and Jason Webb.”

“More” releases on June 20, 2025. It will be available everywhere you stream music.
