Introducing Captain Blake
Artwork by Charlie UttingCaptain Blake is the formidable pirate captain of the trading ship, Skiá. She’s cisgender (she/her), bisexual, and disguised as a man, and is infamous around the ports of Magna Graecia. She has skills with rapiers, knuckle knives, star maps, and bare fists that are legendary around the world.
The ship (full name Skiá tēs Hamartías) is often found at the center of brutal pirate attacks, but most of the survivors can’t speak because they’ve had their tongues ripped out. Those that can still communicate talk of a vessel flying a very different flag to this one.
With two fiery caprine eyes—dark orange, with black horizontal pupils—the eyepatch is an old trick that helps her move between the upper and lower decks without being disadvantaged. She has long black hair, a flat chest, a single gold canine, a literal forked tongue, and she darkens her rugged jawline with charcoal to keep her secrets. Every member of her crew, from First Mate to cabin boy, is treated fairly.
With shocking scars, and an even more shocking history, the captain’s charms (and her unholy stare from across the deck) prove irresistible to Lilith of Eden.
Meet Captain Blake in Lilith: Original Sin (book 1 of 4) in the new Lilith Prequel Tetralogy to the Cardinal Series (six books already released, but Blake is new. Meet the others (the Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse here!)
Release date: TBC, but towards the end of 2025
