January 31, 2024: A Plan Of Attack For Snacks
I saw a tip somewhere on the Internet that may be useful to someone out there: If you like having messy snacks at the game table, consider using chopsticks. I believe the original tip was in regard to cheese puffs, but we've used it for popcorn, strawberries, and other goodies. They keep your fingers from getting cheesy/oily/red/wet without needing to fiddle with a napkin that might not get everything off, and this also ensures that your hands remain clean for card-grabbing fun.
Any food item that's relatively light and able to be grabbed makes a good candidate for chopsticks. For folks concerned about portion control, I've found that chopsticks slow us down from eating too much too quickly; when you're eating popcorn kernel by kernel, it lasts a while.
