Another Fine Myth

Another Fine Myth (Myth Adventures, #1) Another Fine Myth by Robert Lynn Asprin

My rating: 1 of 5 stars

*** Possible Spoilers ***

I missed the keyword 'young adult' when I selected this book because it was hidden under 'see more'. The library didn't use that keyword at all. Had I known, I still might have selected it if only for the title, but i might have DNFed it. Part of the problem may be my listening to it in audio format. I may try another book in the series in text format to see if things improve but I'm not optimistic. I think, if I were ten or eleven years old once again, I'd have thoroughly enjoyed the story. As it is, I found it trite and excruciatingly boring. Fortunately it is short and that's about all I can find of a positive nature. The characters are flat, the story insipid, and the final solution for getting rid of the villain was obvious far in advance. Some of the quotes, or misquotes as the case may be, at the beginning of each chapter were good. They were far superior to the story line. If you enjoy YA novels I think you might like this one but otherwise you'd be better off looking elsewhere.
