Tulips

A garden of red, pink, and yellow tulips surround a rock-lined poolAuthor’s Photo

Tulips display their colors
Shortly in the Spring
But oh, how brightly they glow!

Large green leaves
In case you didn’t see them
In case you didn’t know

Some flowers need a fragrance
Others protect with thorns
The tulip stands on its own

She doesn’t last all year
She gives you just a taste
And then she lies down.
