Writing comes to a screeching half—with tax time and allergies…

Hadda get the tax stuff organized.

And something's bloomed that has my name and Jane's on it. We're dumber than dirt and can't wake up. Being indoors with the air filters going full tilt while taking Theraflu night and day versions seems to be the only way to cope, but I'm not that smart today. I just want to go back to bed and lie there. My money is on the evergreens pollinating…we've had this weird weather, and for the first time and suddenly the temperature's flirting with 70 degrees instead of 35 to 40, and it's staying above freezing at night.

Glug. My eyes are watering so its hard to see what I'm doing. I tried Zyrtac yesterday and it gave me a very upset stomach. Benedryl and Sudafed in combo helped after that somewhat wore off, but today I'm trying Theraflu.

This too shall pass. Usually it's a few days. If I weren't on an antihistamine, I couldn't breathe, I'd be coughing, and my ears would be so swollen I'd be half-deaf. As well as stupid. I hates allergies, I hatessss 'em.

Linda I hate them, too, here in the Texas Panhandle. Wind and a sky full of dirt have my sinuses aching, but thankfully Zytec or Claritin work for me! Hope your meds kick in for you!

Michelle Frost ah me too! I was such a sickly kid, but that was how I ended up a bookworm.

It struck me as really ironic that the years I spent sneezing and wheezing as I munched my bookwormy way through your books, thinking I was such a pathetic allergic dribbly oozy, eyes squinty blob... oblivious to the fact one of my favourite authors shared the same afflictions!

So my sympathy had a moment of sad geeky fan, "Oh wow... you too? Cool!" to it. LOL

But seriouswly - My true sympathies. I find I need to alternate antihistamines every few months as I seem to become immune to them if I use them regularly. Beyond that - moving countries helps. I've moved twice and both times my allergies vanished or eased... until I become used to my new environs and then they start up again. I had five fantastic years here in Scotland. I even wore perfume!! wow :-0 but alas, it's starting to wear off now and in a new variation. Less sneezing, but more asthma. :-\ yippee...

Hope you feel better soon.
