Some Down Time

Dear Readers,

We are into the month of August and it feels in many ways as if summer is just flying right past us. Where I live, many of the schools have started! Year-round schooling is becoming more and more of a trend these days. I feel bad for the kids, but they will have a Fall break before you know it.

This week, I've been working on formatting my Master's thesis and on writing in my spare time. The bulk of my project is done and this will be the first week I can devote a few full days to writing Sabrina's story.

I'm planning to spend all of Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday on it. I've literally taken three of my 'vacation' days from work to be able to write : )

I'm finally at the point in the story where we are able to explore the beautiful city of Florence. I am thrilled to live vicariously through my characters.

Italy is such a wonderfully beautiful country, but during the summer....it is the last place I would travel. August is the month many Italians are off and take vacations of their own.

Are you taking any vacations? I will be taking a small trip next weekend, but nothing that will keep me away from home for more than a day.
