I might be a tad cynical.

As part of my job as an Avionics Standards sergeant, I oversaw an exam this morning--the final exam of the course. One of the students got 100%, his 10th out of 15 exams, for an overall course average of 98%.

I told him if there were another Forces Reduction Program starting today he'd be the first to go. The military would be all, "Hey, You! Get the f@&k out. We don't need no smart people like you making the rest of us look bad. Where's that dumb kid, bottom of the class? He'll be a Chief in no time."
