Situated on a rocky flat topped knoll to the east of Afon Llyfni the hillfort can be reached along a footpath that leads from the B4418 at a midway point between Penygroes and Talysarn in Gwynedd. The footpath takes you across the Afon Llyfni and via a raised causeway through a marsh to a stone lined track leading to the hillfort.
