Movie Review: Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

The storyline was simple, but that was all. Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) meets a young woman name America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) who has the power to go through the multiverse but she doesn’t know how she does it. He recognizes the need to protect her as the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) wants her power. So, Dr. Strange and America travel through the multiverse to hide from the Scarlet Witch until she finds them. Then the fight begins.

What drives this story isn’t the plot but the CGI. It’s amazing. The people and story are but props in this cinematic world full of strange stuff. Eventually, the story does come to an end, but I wasn't really sure what was the initial motivation to start all this to begin with. Why did the Scarlet Witch want the power to travel into the multiverse when she could already travel in it? Maybe I missed something. It was easy to do because there was so much going on.

While the ratings and the box office results were good, I wasn’t sure if I liked it or not. I didn’t feel emotionally connected to the characters or invested in the story. It was interesting, but not satisfying.
