
I mentioned before that I started exercising during the pandemic because I was out of shape and figured it was either that or die bloated on the toilet like Elvis.
That exercise consisted almost solely of running… Well, first walking briskly and wheezing like an old Buick, then running when I no longer got winded. And for the past year, I’ve been running 5K five times a week.
What I forgot to mention (I think) is my family got me an exercise bench for this past Xmas, so I added some proper exercises to my routine… And I never thought I’d the day would come, but I’m seeing some actual real-life stomach muscles now. I mean, it’s more of an ‘80s pro wrestler mono-ab than a six-pack, but I’ll take it.
Still not weighing myself, though. It’s not about a goal, it’s about a routine. The routine is the goal.
