It is unlikely this dude knows what I’ve survived in my life, and what I endured to get here. It’s unlikely he knows I am a survivor of child abuse and exploitation, who lives with PTSD that was caused and exacerbated by his parents.

He probably doesn’t know that. But even if he did, I suspect he’d say the same thing. He saw someone expressing joy and gratitude, and he just couldn’t help himself.
