Thank you D.m - I had no idea that this would be posted here - it's part of a series on doing a press release, but obviously looks like I'm just shouting about it (well, I suppose I am a bit!).Thanks again.
Yes, I read the site. I used prlog.org for a free press release, which certainly made lots of google links for them ;) Not sure it got me anywhere though. Maybe I should try your £15 route - when I have something to shout about ;)I released my book about the same time as you. I've climbed from around 1 sale per day in the first couple of months to 2 sales per day! If I can get 5 books out, I think I'd need at least 10 sales a day per book to create a basic income from it.
I've put the review snippets at the front of my product description now, and put an extract in the front matter, and also upped the price by about 50c ;)
It takes time, and I suspect a different amount of time with different books - so just persevere! It's hard work, I know. I remember well when we were delighted to get 2 sales in a day - it was a red letter day! And that's only a few weeks ago, so don't give up hope!
Thanks - and I meant to say that the first two months (Nov and Dec) were actually 0.3 sales per day. It rose to 2 per day after mid Jan. And, yes, that a good day ;)
