How to Make Drop

To make your own Drop, all you need are simple supplies. But once you make one, you’ll want to make more!! Here’s a fun project you can do at home or in the classroom!

Supplies needed:

Ink (India ink or food coloring)

Water (just a splash in a cup!)

Dropper

Water-absorbent paper (mixed-media paper or watercolor paper)

A felt-tip pen

Experiment with dropping the drops from different heights and see how the shapes change! Drop looks calm and sleepy when you drop it just a couple inches from the paper, but she looks more and more wild the higher you go! Blow on Drop to make her spread out and do her evaporation shape (hint: use a straw for greater precision!). And to make rain, hold the paper at a tilt and squeeze out a bunch of drops from your dropper!! Make it RAIN!! 💦

Let your drops thoroughly dry before using your felt-tip marker to add a face and arms. Get creative!! Meet Drop!
