Smell-O-Vision Contest!

OK, it's time for my oddest contest idea yet! It's called a Smell-O-Vision Contest and this video, from myself and my H2O the Novel co-author, Austin Boyd, should explain it, but all the details are reposted below! Watch this video first, so you can get the general concept, and then come back and read all the fine print below!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIxgfjbauS0

How to Enter: Super easy. Check out the Smell-O-Vision Concept List that's posted below. Simply select one or more concepts and send me the SMELL that you think most reflects that concept. Also, send a short description of WHY you think that smell most reflects or represents that concept. Submissions must conform with The Rules as listed below or they are not considered valid. That's it! Submissions can be entered as a comment below or you can send them to me as a message via Goodreads! We stop accepting submissions on February 29, 2012 at 12:00 AM CST.

How you Win: There are THREE WAYS to win!

1. Everyone who enters a valid submission as per The Rules will have their names listed in the Acknowledgement page of our next novel in The Eternal Elements Series. (Also, if you send in some really smashing submissions, you might seem appear in other places within the book as well!

2. Further, each valid submission will have a point value, as listed below. Submissions that total 50 or more points will receive a signed copy of H2O the Novel***, OR Nobody's Child***, OR Skein of Shadows, OR The Evidence, OR The Proof, OR The Return.

(NOTE: The print book will be signed by myself and Austin Boyd, as appropriate, or just me, or just Austin Boyd -- you get the drill. Also, the books above marked with *** also have the option of an EBOOK version, should the winner choose.)

3. Lastly, if your valid submissions total 100 or more points, then you get TWO of the books listed above!

The Rules:All submissions must be received by February 29, 2012 at 12:00 AM CST. All submissions must list the valid concept, the smell, and the reason why that particular smell is relevant. (see The Submission Examples, below).

The Submission Examples: Ok, so we admit, this might be an odd topic to wrap your brain around, so we're going to give you a few examples.

Sick(1) smells like sharp and eye-watering, like Vick's Vapo-Rub. I would always get that rubbed on my chest when I was sick as a kid.
Grey(1) smells like crisp, clean spring rains...those days are always lovely and grey in the South, and I love, love, love them!
Rich(2) smells like heady, perfume that always gives me a headache. I don't like lots of scents and rich people always smell like they bathe in perfume and cologne.
