Now, we've been getting a lot of mail, Facebook comments, tweets, and so on, asking about the status of Book Eight, the short stories, etc. So I thought I'd give you a quick run-down of what-all I've been doing, where it all is at the moment, a short peek at everything, and—most importantly [g]—when things will be published.

Paige WOW...what a process! Thank you for sharing the details so that your readers will better understand...and be more patient! Everything you write, however, is worth the wait!

July Wolfe I sympathize, but all of this just made me more impatient. Fortunately, I own the series and I think I'll start back at "The Fiery Cross" and occupy myself on through "An Echo in the Bone" for a few months. Sigh.

Eiron It is hard to imagine that people would accuse you like that! I almost love the wait. Having something to look forward to is fun and I am just happy that there will be more to the story! I am grateful for creative people like you, who can pull me into a story where I can visit another time and place and just be away for awhile. Definitely worth the wait!

Anne Ipsen Your description of the process involved in getting a book to readers *after* the ms is *finished* is great. I would recommend to anyone who thinks the author merely sends ms off to an agent and is then done.
